Rural Housing Home Loan Program

To qualify you must:
*Must have an acceptable credit history. Keeping track of your credit is very important. To request a copy of your credit report, call:
TransUnion: 1-800-888-4213 or
Equifax Inc.: 1-800-865-1111 or
Experian Credit Marketing: 1-888-397-3742
*Not currently own a home
*Household income cannot exceed low income level (see chart below) (All dollar amounts must match the USDA Guidelines as published through USDA, errors in type are possible. Check with the local USDA office to verify figures.)
*Be unable to obtain credit eslewhere at terms and conditions you can afford
*Be a citizen or meet eligible non-citizen requirements
*Must be have adequater repayment ability
*Plan to personally occupy the dwelling

Term of Loan:
*Loans are typically made for 33 years
*Certain loan limits apply based on your repayment ability-Maximum loan $106,800

Loan Purpose:
*To buy, build, repair, or renovate homes, provided related facilities for use by the applicant as a permanent residence or refinance a home under certain conditions.

Rural Housing Loan and Grant Program
Maximum loan amount is $20,000 at 1% for up to 20 years-Grants available up to $7,500

Grants are only available
to those 62 years of age or older to remove health or safety hazards from your home to make your home accessible to family members with disabilities.

To Qualify You Must
*Own and personally occupy your home
*Have a very-low household income (examples of limits are listed below).
*Have a credit history which indicates a reasonable ability and willingness to meet financial obligations when they become due.
