Fishing at Dale Hollow Lake is a fishermen's paradise with trophy smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, crappie and bluegill. Dale Hollow Lake still holds the World's Record Smallmouth bass caught in July of 1955 by Mr. D.H. Hayes at 11lbs. and 15 ozs. Want to have even more fun! Rent a Jet Ski, Pontoon, Runabout boat, Fishing or Canoe boat at any one of the many marinas and enjoy the numerous coves and inlets around Dale Hollow Lake.

Pickett County also takes great pride in its history, culture, shopping and scenic driving tours. Pickett County is proud to have the Cordell Hull Birthplace Museum and State Park which portrays Corell Hull's humble beginnings in Pickett County and his worldwide success serving the United States as the longest running Secretary of State, founder of the United Nations and recipeint of a Nobel Peace Prize which you can see at the museum. The Borderlands Exhibit in the Town Hall also offers a glimpse at what it was like in the area during the Civil War. Take a scenic heritage driving tour and experience some of the important skirmishes that happended about 150 years ago or visit historical landmarks along the way.
