Sierra Hull & HWY 111 have been extremely generous in participating in the planning, organization and securing of entertainment each year, hence the name~ Sierra Hull Bluegrass Festival. She has been very busy this 2007, with high school, sports, recording an album, performing on the Grand Ole Opry, hosting Bluegrass at Carnegie Hall, recording a new album, and traveling from Colorado to Rhode Island performing at various bluegrass festivals. You can visit Sierra's website online for her bio, pics, music, bookings, info and more at www.sierrahull.com

We welcome you to attend our Bluegrass Festival whether you are a competitor earning some greenbacks, a vendor selling your wares, or just a fan seeking to slap ya knees, pic' & grin, and sport some overhauls.

Y'all come back now!

Sierra Hull

Sierra Hull, teenage mandolin phenomenon, got her start at the tender age of 8 years old, advancing in the bluegrass circuit to become one of Bluegrass Music's youngest favorites. The winner of numerous Mandolin and guitar championships, Sierra's resume boasts performances with the Great High Mountain Tour, featuring ALL-STAR bluegrass lineup performing songs from the soundtracks of hit movies "O Brother Where Art Thou" and "Cold Mountain". She has also performed several times on the Grand Ole Opry radio and television shows, and shared the stage with bluegrass legends Alison Krauss, IIIrd Tyme Out, Sam Busch and Ricky Skaggs. A TN Native, 15-yr old Sierra's exceptional talent as a multi-instrumentalist and vocalist has resulted in wonder from both peers and fans alike for herself and band Hwy 111.

Sierra's recent appearances include the Blueridge Music Festival, Strawberry Park Festival, Festival of Bluegrass Music, Rocky Grass Festival, Newport Folk Festival and Thomas Point Beach Bluegrass Festival. Sierra also participated in the NARAS Honors and Awards show honoring Alison Krauss, performing with Larry Sparks, Ron Block, Stewart Duncan and Dennis Crouch. The 2006 release of "A Tribute to Hazel Dickens" by Rounder Records featured Sierra playing mandolin with ace musicians Alison Krauss, Jerry Douglas, Ron Block, Larry Atamanuik and Todd Phillips on the track "Momma's Hand". In May of 2007 Sierra hosted with Ryan Holladay a Bluegrass Celebration at Carnegie Hall, in New York, NY. Sierra recently filled in for Adam Steffey, of Mountain Heart on Mandolin at a show in Lexington, Michigan. Sierra is currently working on a much anticipated album for Rounder Records produced by Ron Block, expected release in spring of 2008.
